With Star Wars: Visions premiering on Disney Plus today, I’m reminded of Photek’s Ni Ten Ichi Ryu (Two Swords Technique). This was a classic that used to play on MTV’s Electronica show, AMP, back in the 1990s. It was also used in the end credits…
When I think of Brad Fiedel, the Terminator series is usually the first thing that comes to mind. 1985’s Fright Night, however, happens to be a great soundtrack by Fiedel. With Halloween coming, some of the music from that film is on my mind. For anyone unaware, Fright Night is about a teenager who discovers he has a vampire living next door to him.
“Come to Me” is used in the scene where Amy (Amanda Bearse) is alone with the vampire Jerry Dandrige (Chris Sarandon). The scene itself has no real words, and plays out with this music in the background. It worked seamlessly and made for a memorable piece. The film’s sequel would later release a version of the song with lyrics, but I personally prefer the instrumental.
