There are some dates always worth noting.
You have the 21st of April from John Carpenter’s The Fog, June 6 is a date both remembered for D-Day and Richard Donner’s The Omen. November 5 from Robert Zemekis’ Back to the Future and in James McTeigue’s V for Vendetta. November 10 is the Birthday for the United States Marine Corp.
Then you have the 21st of September, made popular by Earth, Wind and Fire. You can’t really let September go by without hearing this at least once. It’s a great feel-good song that may have you dancing in your seat (or wherever you happen to be). It’s also pretty cool that a month gets it’s own theme song, much like Max Richter’s November.
Enjoy!
Lyrics:
Do you remember the
21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
While chasing the clouds away
Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing
As we danced in the night
Remember how the stars stole the night away
Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September
Ba de ya – never was a cloudy day
Ba duda, ba duda, ba duda, badu
Ba duda, badu, ba duda, badu
Ba duda, badu, ba duda
My thoughts are with you
Holding hands with your heart to see you
Only blue talk and love
Remember how we knew love was here to stay
Now December found the love we shared in September
Only blue talk and love
Remember the true love we share today
Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September
Ba de ya – never was a cloudy day
There was a
Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September
Ba de ya – golden dreams were shiny days
The bell was ringing, aha
Our souls were singing
Do you remember
Never a cloudy day
There was a
Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September
Ba de ya – never was a cloudy day
There was a
Ba de ya – say do you remember
Ba de ya – dancing in September
Ba de ya – golden dreams were shiny days
Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
De ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
Ba de ya de ya de ya
