A moment of silence for Netflix’s Live Action version of Cowboy Bebop. Word’s come down the pipe that it’s been cancelled, and I’m sad for it. While I still have the anime to watch, I was looking forward to seeing how everything turned out. I also really enjoyed seeing John Cho, Mustafa Shakir and Daniella Pineda on screen.
Still, it was a fun ride and we also got some great music, including Lord of the Empty, by Seatbelts along with Leo Imai. The song is featured in a major shootout where Spike Spiegel (a.k.a. “Fearless”) clears out a hideout full of bad guys. It was a cool scene, and I ended up searching for the song right after seeing it. I wish everyone involved the best.
