Child of Love (by Joss Ackland, Mary Hylan, George Gilmour and Chorus)
I found out last night through that actor (and singer) Joss Ackland passed away at the age of 95. He’s mostly remembered for his roles as a villain in Lethal Weapon 2, The Hunt for Red October and in the Mighty Ducks films. The Apple...
Ryan Gosling’s tackling wild stunts in The Fall Guy trailer!
Back in the 1980s, nestled between shows like The A-Team, Miami Vice, Matt Houston and McGuyver, you had The Fall Guy. It starred Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man) as a stunt man who worked part time as a bail bondsman to keep himself...

Goldeneye (by Tina Turner)

A co-worker informed me a few minutes ago that Tina Turner passed away, which had me check my phone. She was 83 years young, bless her heart. With songs like “What’s Love Got to Do With It” (my Grandmother’s favorite), “Private Dancer”, “You Better Be Good To Me” (off the Miami Vice soundtrack, which had a lot of airplay at home) and her own versions of popular songs like “Proud Mary” and “Let’s Stay Together”, Tina had a beautiful and distinctive voice. R.I.P.

I chose Goldeneye here because I already posted one of my other favorite Turner songs “We Don’t Need Another Hero” (From Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome) in the past.

Lyrics:

See reflections on the water
More than darkness in the depths
See him surface in every shadow
On the wind I feel his breath

Goldeneye I found his weakness
Goldeneye he’ll do what I please
Goldeneye no time for sweetness
But a bitter kiss will bring him to his knees

You’ll never know how I watched you
From the shadows as a child
You’ll never know how it feels to be the one
Who’s left behind
You’ll never know the days, the nights
The tears, the tears I’ve cried
But now my time has come
And time, time is not on your side

See him move through smoke and mirrors
Feel his presence in the crowd
Other girls they gather around him
If I had him I wouldn’t let him out

Goldeneye not lace or leather
Golden chains take him to the spot
Goldeneye I’ll show him forever
It’ll take forever to see
What I’ve got

You’ll never know how I watched you
From the shadows as a child
You’ll never know how it feels to get so close
And be denied
It’s a gold and honey trap
I’ve got for you tonight
Revenge it’s a kiss, this time I won’t miss
Now I’ve got you in my sight
With a Goldeneye, golden, goldeneye
With a goldeneye, goldeneye.
