Not every song makes it onto a composer’s album. I learned this when I was about 10 years old when I purchased John Williams’ score to Return of the Jedi, only to find the one track I hoped to hear (where Luke defeats Vader) was missing from the album.
Below is the Canyon Dogfight music from Top Gun Maverick, by Lorne Balfe, Harold Faltermeyer and Hans Zimmer. Note that Lady Gaga is on the soundtrack as well, just not for this particular song. I love this piece, which starts off pretty quiet, and then explodes into the fight.
